in my interior design work i’ve probably disagreed with clients as much as with architects. i was glad to see one of my favourite designers did the same.
saladino’s fearless renovation of this 1950’s wright house clearly shows a departure from the architect’s vision but his treatment of the living area’s sucessfully expelled the monolithic lloyd-wright-ness to create an airy livelier version.
he’s respectfully firm in his approach and renders it with his own signature without harming the honesty of the structure.
