sometimes something comes out of the fashion wash that make you look twice, and on even fewer occasions it brings a smile to your face. although simon porte jacquemus‘s fall 15 rtw collection is nothing groundbreaking, it returns to a positive and playful place, perhaps more mummenschanz than mode; so he can be forgiven for turning a few sloppy corners just for that. fashion seems so serious most of the time, that even the comical hides concern. jacquemus has excelled at injecting a spirit of sophisticated innocence with his simple asymmetrical geometric cuts and uncomplicated combinations of recycled glamour; resulting in a totally wearable collage of plain and pleasure.
